Duportail House Weddings - Georgia and Victor

Great way to spend a Sunday morning.  Georgia and Victor planned their wedding as a casual family and friends brunch at the Duportail House.  It was the perfect setting as everyone enjoyed a made to order breakfast provided by Shorty's Sunflower Cafe.  Some dancing and many laughs throughout the house.

My daughter Alyssa has worked a few Get to Know sessions with me and she has been asking about assisting a wedding.  I have always told her in a few years she can "join the family business".  When I met with Georgia and Victor and they told me how much their wedding was about their families, I asked if it was OK to bring Alyssa along.  With their approval, it was bring your daughter to work day yesterday at Duportail House for Dlutz Photo.  I will have more to post once I go through the edit, but here are a few images that Alyssa captured as she told me that she wanted to photo and not just carry bags and put a slide show together.  Very impressed with what I see so far, she lugged the big D3 around all day with a smile on her face.  Learned how to use the exposure compensation dial, got the shot that I couldn't and Georgia let her take home some of the amazing cupcakes they served.

So yes, I am going to brag a little!

The Loft at Sweet Water Weddings - Ashley and Chris

Sunday was such a great day for Ashley and Chris's wedding at the Loft at Sweet Water.  My first time there and it was worth the wait.  We started a little early and got most of the photos out of the way with a special first look.  Then the ceremony and reception topped off with a paper lantern launch to rival NASA.
