Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas - I actually had a family session last night and I will post shortly, so stay tuned. Until then, enjoy the day with your family.

Here is my favorite image from my Christmas Eve Portrait Session. I had this booked since September and I needed all that time in advance to make sure Evelyn was OK with me working while she had the big family dinner. Everything went so well, I captured some great images and made it home in time to eat, open up gifts and enjoy time with my family.

Sharon and Bobby Get Hitched

This was one of the best weddings for 08. Sharon's parents home is not far from mine and we had a bunch of meetings and get togethers. I think the best part was becoming friends with Sharon, Bobby and the family - Eric my associate knows the family well, he went to school with Sharon's brother. So when I first met with them, I remember thinking this wedding is going to be great. Sharon had all the details and theme going since the reception was at Columbia Station in Phoenixville they decided to go with the train theme full steam ahead. We even did the engagement session at the Railroad Museum. For November 29th the weather was on our side. The sun was out all day, lighting the inside of the church during the ceremony and staying out just long enough to get some fun shots right on Bridge Street in Phoenixville.

Friday Family

I know I haven't touched this blog much since October, but I've been busy shooting and getting orders going for the early Christmas shoppers. So maybe I'll do a quick post for all the weddings, family and children sessions I've done in the past two months. Anyway - I wanted to share this quick panel I put together from one of the three family sessions I had on Friday...

Pies for MANNA

One of my favorite things about being a photographer these days is the group of talent we have in this area.  I am part of the Philadelphia Photo Group.  It kind've started as a gathering of photographers that shared the same lab.  It was very small, but quickly grew into a large community when our organizer Sofia Negron invited all photographers to the monthly meetings.  What I enjoy is getting together each month and sharing ideas on what has worked for each other.  This is a winning combination because our clients get the rewards of fresh images and the latest products available.

Anyway, this year we all are supporting MANNA.

"MANNA nourishes the mind, body and spirit of clients, volunteers and supporters alike. Drawn from all walks of life, the young, old, urban and suburban come together with one common goal: to promote wellness through nutrition for people at acute nutritional risk living in Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey."   www.mannapa.org

Our group helped out last year by volunteering to work in the kitchen, but some of us could not attend due to our schedules.  Sofia fixed that problem this year by getting us involved in the Pie in the Sky Fundraiser.  Just click on the link below and you can order a pie to help support MANNA. Every pie sold provides three meals to a person with a life threatening illness.

Here is a picture of just a few of us that I pulled from my friend Ole's blog, (www.photolephotography.blogspot.com) (thanks Ole, hope you don't mind.)that was taken at a meeting a few months ago.

Lucky Duck

Presenting the Lucky Duck winners.  I donated a portrait sitting to my niece's school for their Lucky Duck fund raiser and the winners are the Warmkessel family.  We met up at Lake Nockamixon for the session and did some casual relaxed portraits.  I enjoy my job cause I get to meet so many great people.
