Infrared Monday

Last Monday the girls had off from school. Morgan went with her friends to the movies so Alyssa and I decided to walk High Street and take some pictures. I took my digital infrared camera and Alyssa had the trusty vacation digital. I have been shooting B/W infrared since high school when my photo teacher gave me a roll. The images were awesome, very dream like. Kodak recently discontinued the film but for the past few years I've been using a digital converted IR camera. It was simple, take it apart and remove the IR block filter, attach a IR filter on the lens and you are in business. I will be sharing more of the IR images in the future as the spring/summer foliage returns.
Most of the shots here are Alyssa's. I just had fun walking around with my daughter and seeing what she saw.

Happy Birthday Evelyn

My BEAUTIFUL wife is having a Big Birthday today. I have a surprise for her today and I can write it here because she never looks here. Well, maybe, just incase she does - I'll post it later after I bring it home. I hope the kids will help take care of it.
Happy Birthday Baby.

Ev's brother came in from Phoenix for her birthday. It was fun, but I couldn't share my secret with my best friend. Even when his plane was late and she was getting ticked off.

Finally

My website has been updated.  The original site took a total of 25 minutes to do one afternoon five years ago and it hasn't been touched since.  A good friend of mine who works in the high tech computer industry showed me a few small things to get what was online out there on the World Wide Web.  So it was a freebee and it showed.  Take a look...

I am very happy with it.  I wanted something simple, quick to load and easy to navigate.  I see many sites that have so much that it takes a while to view.  Or there is music that will blast through the viewer's speakers.  That could be a problem for a bride that may be checking out a photographer's work during company time.

Anyway, check it out.

Goblins Hockey

Here is my hockey team the Goblins. Since the rink finally put in some new lights, the old ones were ten years old and spaced to far apart creating dark spots in between the fixtures - I was able to bring my camera to the game and get a few shots of the guys between shifts. These are from tonight's - or I should say this mornings game.

Team shot thanks to Mr. Stauffer.  Left to right standing Dillon Schlesman, me, Shane Wronowski, Brad Okoniewski, Jeff Stauffer, Jay Young, Fred Neumann, Dustin Sechrist, Dil Schlesman, Ron Neilson.  Bottom row - Terry McCarrick, Brandon Zanan, Gene Thomas, Tiffany Neumann.  Missing - Tony Dorsogne, Sean McGinley, John Haibach, Brian Baker, Tom Quinn, Bill McCarrick, and Brett Marquardt.

Jeff pinching down low keeping the puck in deep.
Brandon taking everything down low away on this breakaway.
Brandon making the easy save.
Fred cutting to the slot.
Ron pushing the rush to the outside.
Gene parked out in front of the goalie.
Dillon streaking up ice.
Jay watching the play.
Dustin moving the puck out of our zone.
Tiffany blocking a shot.

I have a lot of fun playing with these guys.  Even though sometimes the scoreboard doesn't show it - we play hard and support each other - no I in TEAM.

Alyssa's Birthday Fun

I took the afternoon off with Ev and we brought in some healthy snacks for Alyssa to hand out to her class for her birthday. Her teacher put her in front of the class and everyone sung to her. It was fun to watch her excitement. Then we were off to dinner and Alyssa announced right away to the waiter that it was her birthday, so the wait staff all came out and sung to her. She loves the attention. Like any young girl today, Alyssa wants to be just like Hannah Montana. Santa brought her a Karaoke Machine and she wanted a mike stand for her birthday so she can strum her guitar while she sings into the mike. As you can see - we had to get her the wig to complete the look.

She looks a bit like Spinal Tap or Dee Snyder - I WANNA ROCK!!!

Guess Who Is 8 Today

Yes, eight years ago today it was Super Bowl Sunday, Snowing and Alyssa's Birthday. I remember getting the call to hurry home, (I had a hockey game, it was almost the end of the third period). Up all night helping Ev, (as much as I could) and finally the doctor saying it's time to go in and get her, after about seven hours of torture for Ev. She took her time coming out, and she's been yapping away since.
Happy Birthday Alyssa.
